Turn Reading memos into learning assets

Reading a lot is not the same as retaining. Reading on juin.com is meant so marks and memos can later feed Writing and Play.

01

Highlight sparingly

Painting whole pages yellow creates selection debt. Keep a few key lines per chapter.

02

One-line “why” memo

Note why you marked it—new phrase, useful structure, agreement or pushback. That context returns during review.

03

Compare with other readers

Community memos are other angles, not answers. Seeing different focus areas reveals your blind spots.

04

Memo → output loop

Turn one memo into a Writing prompt or extract phrases into Search/Play. Output makes reading stick.

COMMON MISTAKES

Common mistakes

Highlighting without reasons, or writing memos so long you never reread them. Short and purposeful wins.
